  2021 – Restarting Activities
As things open up, we are starting to add things back to the calendar, even if we have to make changes to accommodate the new normal. The Cooperative Extension offices are still closed to us, but the employees have returned to work, so we are hoping they may come up with rules to allow us back soon.

As we wait, we are planning a bus day trip to the regional meeting in Avon, CT. The details are still being ironed out, but due to covid, the meeting is only in the afternoon and we are planning to visit gardens on the way there and the way back. The date is Saturday July 17, 2021, and we are hoping to leave around 8 am from some exit off the Northway in Latham or Colonie. We think we will be returning between 7 and 8 pm. Also, the Faddegon’s sale, also known as the Annual Sale, has been approved for the morning of August 21. This is a sale of daylilies to the members and the public. In order to make this sale happen, it requires lots of help from the members the week before the sale. If you are able, please consider helping. We need to dig some plants, clean the separate them, and package and label for the sale. The specific dates/times/places will be published as we get closer and can judge the weather. We will also need help with setup at Faddegon’s on the day of the sale.

And if you have plants to donate to the sale, we will need that information ahead of time so was can prepare. Watch your email for details on what we need. And we are grateful to people who can dig their own plants, but talk to us if you need help and we will see what we can do.
