It’s Time To Party!!

Come chase away those winter blues at our Winter Doldrums Party on Sunday, February 19th at the Albany County Cooperative Extension on Martin Road in Voorheesville. The festivities will begin at 11:00 am. Lunch will be about 12 and our speaker will start at 1:00. Please bring a dish to share. Also, there will be many door prizes – if you have a garden related item you’d like to contribute to the door prize table, bring it along. Because we’re getting together with the Iris and Hosta societies, this event is always fun and interesting.

Kathy Purdy is our speaker for the Winter Doldrums party. She will be telling us how to ‘Combat Cabin Fever With Your Garden.’ If winter starts too early and spring doesn’t come soon enough, if you find yourself pacing indoors and gazing out the window, hoping to see something other than snow, you need to design a garden to view from that window! Kathy will give us tips, techniques, and plants to extend the viewing season, if not the gardening season, in a long-winter climate.
