looking forward to our party this year.

We have rented a bus for the Regional Meeting on Long Island July 19th to the 20th – we will be leaving on Friday and coming back on Sunday, July 21st. We will have sign up sheets available at our meetings. We are charging $25 for members (refundable to members taking the bus) and $50 for guests.

Bill Wurster presented the Annual Budget for the club. A motion was made and seconded to accept the Budget as printed.

A motion was also made to increase the annual dues. After discussion, a vote was held, and the motion was voted down. The annual dues will remain at $5.00.

We discussed giving a voucher to new members for a free daylily. After membership dues have been paid, the voucher will be sent out to the new member. The voucher can be redeemed at the Annual Sale or for a daylily from the table at the Members’ Sale (not the auction daylilies). The idea was agreed to by the membership. Cindi Jones will change the membership application to reflect the inclusion of the free daylily.

We also discussed the idea of giving compensation to members who donate fans of their better-than-average daylilies to the Members’ Sale. We couldn’t reach agreement on what the compensation should be or how to equably determine the value of the donated daylilies. The idea was tabled.
